Below is an example of a typical study day schedule. The list also has the estimated times for each procedure at your in-person visit. The estimated time to complete all the study tasks at a SPeCTRuM Research Site will take about 5.5 hours. Some procedures need to be completed at home. Breaks will be provided to you as needed, and the schedule can be adjusted to meet your level of comfort or availability. Depending on your research center, not all procedures may happen on the same day.

- Fast for your study visit. This means no food or drink for at least 8 hours prior to the visit. Only water is allowed.

| Blood, Urine, and Stool Collection | Blood and urine sample collection to measure various health markers. If it is unclear if you are pancreatic insufficient, a stool sample will be collected at the study visit or at home. |

| Food Break | Once the bloodwork is complete, you will have time to eat before your next procedure. Please bring your enzymes. |

| Medical History and Short Interview | Collecting relevant medical history and other important information about you. |

| Eye Exam | Your eyes will be dilated for a diabetes eye exam. Testing may need to be scheduled on a different day. |

| Continuous Glucose Monitoring | If you do not currently use a continuous glucose monitor, one will be placed during the study visit. You will wear it for up to 10 days. |

| Nutrition Assessment | We will give you instructions on how to record everything you eat and drink for 3 days that includes 2 weekdays and 1 weekend day. | 15 minutes |

Activities you will do at home:
Here’s a summary of the procedures that you will be asked to do at home. The research team will give you instructions on returning the study equipment.
- Questionnaires will be available online for you to do at your visit or at home.
- The continuous glucose monitor will be worn for up to 10 days.
- Physical activity watch will be tracked for 3 days total (2 weekdays and 1 weekend day).
- Everything you eat and drink will be recorded for 3 days total (2 weekdays and 1 weekend day).
- If you choose to participate, blood pressure monitoring will be worn for 24 hours.
Optional Activities
Some SPeCTRuM Research Sites will be able to offer other testing depending on the availability of the equipment. You can choose whether to participate in these optional activities. Participating in the optional activities may add up to 1 hour to your study visit.
